The unit I received had obviously been used, as the connection wires had their insulation pulled off and the wires had been obviously twisted in a wire nut to connect in a previous install. I suspect this was a returned item. I installed and tested it any how. Although difficult, I managed to get everything working - connecting by both bluetooth for setup and then by WIFI. Both the remote provided and the phone application controls work. However, after any power interruption the light will turn on at full brightness. On power loss this unit does not retain memory of it's last power state. Such a device is a hazard as any power interruption will cause the controlled devices to be turned on. At the very least, the default state on power loss should be OFF upon power restoration. This device defaults to ON.
